uploading, what to choose?

I am uploading stuff on a daily basis, I’m a music freak and I want to share my stuff with my friends. So I naturally tried all the methods available so I’d thought I should make a comparison between the three largest upload services online.

two useful alerters

To increase the functionality of our favorite social sites, I came across two alerters, really helpful for keeping you active on social media websites.

The StumbleUpon alerter plays sounds when your discovery is reviewed or liked, lists all the review for your discoveries and ranks your friends according to the number of reviews they have.

Digg Alerter has basically the same functionality. It sits in your system tray and alerts you whenever your stories are dugg. You just need to specify your username and the program will do the rest.

alexa is stuck!

Seems that Alexa has been stuck for over 2 weeks now. While many advertisers and publishers do not fully rely on Alexa rankings for deciding the value of a website, it still proved useful in many cases.

Here is an excerpt from their blog, proving that they have acknowledged the issue:

As some of you have noticed, our traffic data is a few days behind. We are working hard to catch up, and you will see new data appearing over the next several days.
Thank you for your patience!

Posted on February 21st, it seems that several days for them means over a week. I hope their system isn’t down for good. In the meantime, here is what you can use to measure traffic to your website or blog:

Compete - http://www.compete.com/

Quantcast - http://www.quantcast.com/

And if you still haven’t found out about this, here is the tool used to measure traffic stats and Google PR - SearchStatus.
